He loves all legos products. I have not tried but would guess it is pretty solid for play as well if purchasing this for a child. It did not include the numbered bags as most modern lego sets but was still fun and relatively easy to build after dumping and sorting all the pieces. The cockpit opens the wings move the flaps on the wings move and the landing gears can come down so you can set it on almost any surface.
